Gyeonghuigung Palace

We went to the bank. Across the street there is a palace. We got lost first and climbed along this fortress wall.

Then we stunbled upon a Korean composer's house.

You could hear music playing here.

Outdoor exercise equipment is all over the place in Seoul. I see businessmen talking on cell phones on their lunch break and bouncing up and down on a machine.

The composer's house.

Here is the palace.

Christopher LOVED the dragons. He had to climb up the stairs so we could walk past them.

Up the stairs is an inner courtyard area.

Besides the dragon I think Christopher's fav part was playing in the dirt with rocks.

And this little buddy was in the ergo and slept through the whole thing,

Christmas and New Year's

Santa came to Korea.

Christopher loves spelling words with his new magnets.

Christopher loves listening to cd's on his new player. His favorite is probably Beethoven 5.

Grandma's playhouse is so cute!! We have yet to find a square card table that will work.

Stove pizza for New Year's.

Seoul beginnings

We moved to Seoul, South Korea.

We sit on the floor a lot. :)

Here are some views from our deck.

It took a long time to unpack our suitcases because we had no furniture to put them in. Now we have more furniture and we are unpacked.

We eat a lot of rice.

I was so happy when our drying rack came. I like our washer here because it doesn't hook to the kitchen sink like the one in New Haven. That means I can be super productive and do dishes AND wash clothes simultaneously :))

Christopher likes taking out the trash with Daddy. The bags you throw away food in are the perfect size for him to carry.

We made gimbap. It's the Korean version of a sandwich.

Yum! Seaweed-wrapped deliciousness.

There's a park not far from our house on the way to Lotte mart. There's a statue to honor Christian martyrs.

Also this statue.

Here we are visiting another park by Yeouido station.

Our new kitchen table. You can fold it up by the legs and put it away.
